北界社区是广东省茂名市信宜市北界镇的居民自治组织，位于镇中心区，名称沿用北界镇之名。[1]
地名由来[edit]
「北界」得名有两种说法。一说是唐武德四年（621年）设置的潭峨县，这里正处它的北部边界；另一说是清代这里地荒林密，盗贼出没，人们为壮民威、破贼胆，定名北界，意取「北」为「败走」，凡入境的盗贼被捕即要处死，盗贼闻名生畏。[1]

北界社区设立于1997年3月18日，名称自设立起沿用至今。[1]
