地名由来[edit]

传说古时此处生有油茶树，每年白花盛开，因而得名[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，该村的名称与建制依次为：民国时期：德良上乡第五村、新中国成立前：金垌乡、白花社（1953年）、白花大队（1962年）、设乡政府（1983年）、村民委员会（1987年）、管理区办事处（1989年）、复称村民委员会，沿用至今（1999年）[1]。
