马辣村隶属于信宜市金垌镇，在广东省茂名市境内，是镇辖的一个村民委员会[1]。
地名由来[edit]
传说旧时这里茅草丛生，引来不少马匹觅食，叫作马来，解放后改称马辣[2]。
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，该村的名称与建制依次为：民国中期：十六村、石柱社（1953年）、上磨大队（1958年）、分出，成立马辣大队（1962年）、设乡政府（1983年）、村民委员会（1987年）、管理区办事处（1989年）、复称村民委员会，沿用至今（1999年）[1]。
荣誉[edit]
- 2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]
