名教村是广东省茂名市化州市官桥镇辖下的行政村，位于罗江与官名河交汇处，设8个村民小组，土地面积9平方千米，耕地约1850亩。[1]百度百科称其为有约500年历史的古村落，辖旺田村、新屋地村、同坡村等自然村。[1]

村落在罗江河畔，四面有山，两条江水绕流。[1]村东北的“猛虎跳河”山因清代流传的风水传说而知名，山上现存石碑。[1]年平均气温22.1摄氏度，年降雨量约1710毫米。[2]

村中主要种植水稻，上一年农村经济总收入为680万元。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
民国后期属关塘乡；1952年土地改革时单独设名教乡；1962年称名教大队；1987年2月设名教村民委员会，1989年一度称管理区办事处，1999年起复称村民委员会，沿用至今。[2]
文化[edit]
村中保存“大屋厅”“六房头”“襟江楼”等古建筑，延续木偶戏、舞狮等传统民俗。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
倒流湾风景名胜区建于2003年6月，特色是洁白的沙洲和江水倒流的景观，设有攀崖、漂流等项目。[1]博雅地名网所载的官桥镇概况称，名教村委会为广东省文明村，当地景区平均每日接待游客约1500人次。[3]
荣誉[edit]
据百度百科，名教村于2010年获评「广东省卫生村」，2012年获「广东省宜居示范村庄」称号，2011年成为「广东楹联文化传承基地」，并通过「全国民主法治示范村」的复核。[1]
