新宝社区是信宜市新宝镇的镇中心区社区，镇政府所在的新宝圩一带属其范围，设立于2010年9月13日。[1]

社区设立于2010年9月13日，定名后沿用至今。[1]

地名由来[edit]

相传明末盗贼横行，新宝圩附近的富户合力筑城堡自保，城堡初名白龙堡，后议定改称「新堡」；1993年新堡镇经广东省人民政府批准改名新宝镇，社区因设在镇上而得名，据说含「新堡生新宝」之意。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
