上庵村属广东省茂名市茂南区羊角镇，是该镇的行政村之一，位于镇域东部。[1]据博雅地名网所载村情，辖17个村民小组，在册1230户、6800人，总面积7.5平方千米，耕地2200亩（数据未注明年份）。[1]
2020年11月，上庵村获第六届全国文明村镇称号。[1]2021年12月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]司法部、民政部在2023年1月把上庵村列入第九批全国民主法治示范村（社区）。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
最早见于1953年设立的上庵乡；1958年改作生产大队，至1983年又改回乡，1987年起称村民委员会，1989年改称管理区，直到1999年才重新使用村民委员会这一名称，延续到现在。[1]据村情材料，明代这里有一座香火旺盛的庵堂庙，叫「尚庵」，村名取其谐音定为上庵。[1]
经济[edit]
村里主要种荔枝和冬种北运菜，荔枝约1200亩，北运菜约1300亩。据村情材料，上一年全村经济总收入为800万元。[1]
