竹营一带在1958年编为生产大队，1983年改称乡，1987年称村民委员会，1989年一度改称管理区，1999年重新定为村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
经济[edit]
村里的主要作物是花生和玉米，发展思路是做大种养业、鼓励养殖、转移农业富余劳动力。据村情材料，上一年全村经济总收入为2506万元。[1]
