石龙村属廉江市城北街道，分类上为主城区。村民认为此处是卧龙之地，建村时又多石，因而取名石龙；村委会驻该村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1954年最早设的是大塘乡，其后经小公社、大公社，至1983年复称乡，1987年称管理区，1999年起为石龙村民委员会。该村原属石城镇，2004年5月起由城北街道管辖。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2026年1月被评为广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
