五福村位于鹤山市龙口镇西部，距镇政府约6公里，西部山林与高明区交界，辖区面积约16平方千米，设13个村民小组，常住人口3780人（博雅地名网所载，未注明年份）。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
五福原为五条大村，称五乡，民国元年（1912年）定名五福，取吉祥之意。[1]清代属古劳都，1958年称五福大队，1983年称五福乡，1986年称五福管理区，1998年起称五福村民委员会。[1]1944年1月29日，抗战中的鹤山县政府迁至村内的仓下村办公；解放战争时期，1948年6至8月间在仓下村设立了交通情报站。[1]
姓氏宗族[edit]
村民中温氏约占八成，元至大年间（1308—1311）由霄乡大霖分支迁来；另有梁、叶、莫、区、刘、黄等姓。[1]
经济[edit]
耕地3000多亩，鱼塘约800亩，山林地8500多亩。2020年8月，五福村入选首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，特色产业为鳗鱼。[1]2024年3月被命名为2023年广东省卫生村。[1]
