历史沿革[edit]
九坑河水库1958年动工时，库区内凤凰圩、蛇屋、双龙洞、晴凼蟮等处的居民迁到水库边重建家园，村名定为新凤。[2]此地在清康熙年间（1662年至1722年）已有谢氏人家从惠州迁来九坑落户。[2]名称几经变化：1959年为大队，1983年为乡，1986年为村，1989年为管理区；凤凰镇1992年12月设立时划入，1998年10月起设新凤村委会。[2]
地理与经济[edit]
据博雅地名网，全村山地15600亩、水田360亩，下辖新一、石龙、竹坝3个村民小组，有387户、1522人。[1]因离镇区近，村集体收入主要靠出租商铺、厂房和林场；村民中经营木材加工的有20多家。村集体2008年进账10.3万元，农民人均收入为4506元。[1]
荣誉[edit]
新凤村在2024年3月获「2023年广东省卫生村」称号，4月又进入「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1]
