历史沿革[edit]

前村早先叫六甲乡，1950年初属吴川县第八区，1959年为六甲大队。1963年它与塘尾、梧村两个大队合并，取名前进大队，1967年三者分开，1983年又合并为前进乡。1987年改村委会，1989年改管理区；1991年5月，管理区分为前进、塘尾、梧村3个，1999年3月前进村民委员会成立。[1]
