历史沿革[edit]

水井原来只有四个村民委员会，按次序编为水一至水四，村名由此而来。清代隶开平县古博都，民国年间划归第十区水井乡，1955年属月山区水井乡，其后在水井公社与月山公社之间几度改隶，1984年改乡人民政府，1989年改管理区；1993年撤县设市后归开平市水井镇，2003年水井镇并入月山镇后改属月山镇。[1]
