江根村是广东省佛山市三水区西南街道下辖的行政村，面积19.5平方公里，辖24条自然村，昆都山、五显古庙、思贤滘和何维柏读书堂都在村内或近旁。[1][2][3]
江根村在2020年11月获「第六届全国文明村镇」称号。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
江根的名字来自驻地，1958年公社化时就叫江根大队，1981年改管理区，1997年设村民委员会；2004年翠坑、镇西两村合入，仍称江根。[1]
自然村与人口[edit]
24个自然村为：芹涌、彭坑、沙水、白朗、高平、翠坑、松边、松岗、下陈、上陈、河洲岗、洲头、坑边、大洲、安溪、下坑、沙塘、下黄山、上黄山、上塘郭、上塘陆、龙游岗、潮湾，以及村名所在的江根。村简介所记户籍人口7764人，常住人口7961人；耕地约4525亩，鱼塘2620亩，林地6191亩。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
昆都山海拔62米，是观看三江汇流的地点。山脚下的何维柏读书堂由西南街道依明代礼部尚书何维柏的事迹重建，设有晒书台、润笔池。村中十一巷在岁松陆公祠东侧，据游记所述，陆云从、何维柏、陈白沙等人都曾经过。[3] 思贤滘初名沧江，相传明代学者陈白沙来访门生陈冕不遇，题“思贤”二字而去，因此得名。[4]
荣誉[edit]
除上述称号外，江根村在2022年1月成为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2023年1月司法部、民政部命名其为「第九批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」；同年11月列入「广东百千万工程首批典型县镇村」；2024年4月又进入「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1]
