太平村在均安镇城区西部，距镇区5公里，总面积约5平方千米，2001年9月26日由南面村与菱溪村合并而成[1]。

人口与经济[edit]

村内1100余户，常住4000余人，外来者约6000人，划7个村民小组，设2个股份社；合并初期工农业总产值3亿元，预计2005年达4.5亿元以上[1]。2022年10月，太平村列入2022年淘宝村；2024年8月又名列佛山市“百千万工程”第二批典型镇村；到2026年1月，被广东省评为第二批“百千万工程”典型村[1]。
