均安社区是均安镇的镇区中心。原均安街道办事处在2000年12月改制为均安社区居委会，面积5.6平方千米[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
社区名来自均安圩。1854年，欧阳信、欧阳溟两位乡绅出自仓门、三华，二人发起，约上沙头、矶头、桥头、良村、天壶、外村、星槎的商人，在两村相接处开圩，称均安圩，意为大家同富、同享安居[1][3]。
人口与经济[edit]
据博雅地名网转载的镇政务网资料，社区有3个居民小组、32栋商住小区，户籍2133户、6069人，另有流动人口近1万人[1][2]。辖区内设有牛仔布匹、辅料和成衣的交易展示市场，均安女子篮球队的训练基地总部也在社区内[2]。
