保良村在怀集县永固镇北面约2公里，是永固镇第二大村。[1]
地名与沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，永固民间有“永固秀才多过毛”的民谚，该村历代有读书人被保举到州府任职，村名由此而来。[1]建制上，1958年设大队，1983年改乡，1989年改管理区，1998年成为村民委员会。[1]
概况[edit]
到2007年底，全村总人口8360多人，下辖28个村民小组，山地3.2万亩，耕地1700亩。[1]村民以外出务工为主，长年在外的约2850人，从事板材加工、厘竹销售、废品回收等行业。[1]
