历史沿革[edit]
相传苏姓先民南迁至此开村，村中河涌贯通，水路便利，故称苏埠；后来叶、梅两姓迁到涌北，称北坊，陈、胡两姓迁到涌的西南，称南坊，周姓留在原址（涌东），称东村，逐渐形成东村、南坊、北坊三个自然片[2]。当时居民种桑、养蚕、养鱼，设有专门买卖桑叶的市场，名为“苏埠桑市”，1959年改名苏溪[2]。
1982年以前为苏溪大队，1983年至1986年称苏溪乡，1987年至1990年称苏溪村，1991年至1998年称苏溪管理区；2001年9月撤村委会设苏溪居委会，2003年3月改称苏溪社区居委会[2]。
人口与经济[edit]
至2009年底，社区共702户、2810人，辖区3367.9亩，其中耕地1426.5亩；2001年按田园化规划改造旧基塘1200亩[2]。博雅地名网载，该社区2009年工农业总产值为5.67亿元，工业占其中约5.06亿元，居民年人均收入8503元[2]。
