光明村是南澳县后宅镇的行政村，以农业为主，分七个自然村民小组。村名取当地村民翻身做主、见到光明之意[1][2]。据博雅地名网，全村450户，1329人，耕地369.5亩，山林地3500亩[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1950年3月1日，隆西乡农民协会成立，光明村的建制由此开始；到1953年，组成了光明农业高级社，1958年办人民公社时叫光明农业大队，隶后宅公社。1979年恢复大队管理区，1984年公社撤销，改属后宅镇；1986年12月设光明村委会，1998年起称光明村民委员会[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，该村名列「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」之中[1]。
