历史沿革[edit]
隆西乡渔民协会在1950年3月成立，北面村是它的第一分会；其后相继为渔业第一生产大队（1953至1957年）、后宅公社下的第一大队（1959年起）、第一管区（1982年）。1984年公社撤销归后宅镇，1986年12月叫北面村委会，1998年起称北面村民委员会[2]。
经济[edit]
北面村是纯渔业村，也被列为贫困村，村民多以海洋捕捞为生，可养殖的海域有一千多亩，约五百亩用作琉璃蚶养殖基地，山地另有六百多亩[1]。村中有渔船26艘，其中拖网渔船8艘、笼捕4艘、刺钓14艘，另有运输船3艘、竹排机13只[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2023年5月，该村得到广东省爱卫会授予的「2022年广东省卫生村」称号[1]。2019年9月，该村名列「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」之中[1]。
