塭美村在司马浦镇镇区东北面，原名塭尾村，面积0.991平方千米，有526户、2920人。[1]村地势低洼，俗称“鼎脐地”，雨季积水如塭，故称塭尾，后改雅称塭美。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，塭美创村于明天顺年间，即1457年至1464年间。明清至民国初年属潮阳县洋乌都，1921年属潮阳县第九区。[1]村级建制的演变，自近及远是：1999年恢复村委会，1986年改村委会，1983年称塭美乡，1958年公社化时称塭美大队，1950年属仙港第二乡。[1]

经济[edit]

百度百科称，村里近年推进老寨改造和连片老厝的活化传承，涉及27条巷道、245座「下山虎」式传统民居。[3]博雅地名网称塭美是司马浦镇的老工业村，工业有服装、电器、日用五金、旅游用品、睡衣等。[1]2026年3月，塭美村被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
