历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，港口创村于明天顺年间，即1457年至1464年间，港西创村于天顺四年（1460年），港美和浮洲都创于明弘治十七年（1504年）。[1]村级建制的演变，自近及远是：1999年恢复村委会，1986年改村委会，1983年称港洲乡，1958年公社化时属港洲大队，1950年属仙港第二乡。[1]村被列为革命老区村。[1]
经济[edit]
农业以水稻为主，大部分劳动力外出务工，工业有服装、旅游用品等，有企业4家、小作坊10家。[1]村里筹资128万元拓建村道，投资200多万元兴建港洲小学。[1]2019年9月，港洲村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
