历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，村子创于明洪武年间，即1368年至1398年间，也因村民早年以织布为业而名“大布”。明清至民国初年属潮阳县洋乌都，1921年属潮阳县第九区。[1]村级建制的演变，自近及远是：1999年恢复居委会，1986年改称居委会，1983年合并为大布下乡，1958年公社化时分设4个大队。[1]
经济[edit]
司英路、司神路穿过社区，农业以水稻、甘薯为主，工业有服装、电路板、文具、针织机械配件等行业。[1]社区曾获「广东省六好平安和谐社区」「潮南区先进基层党组织」等称号。[1]
