历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，下方创村于明洪武年间，即1368年至1398年间。明清至民国初年属潮阳县洋乌都，1921年属潮阳县第九区。[1]村级建制的演变，自近及远是：1999年恢复村委会，1986年改称下方村委会，1983年并入仙港乡，1958年公社化时称下方大队，1950年称下方乡。[1]
经济[edit]
农业以水稻、生柑为主，工业以通信配件加工为主，已有工商登记企业13家。[1]广东省乡村振兴局在2022年1月，把下方村列为2021年的乡村治理示范村创建单位；2020年至2022年，该村每年都在淘宝村名单上。[1]
