历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，蔡沟创村于明永乐十年（1412年）。明清至民国初年属潮阳县洋乌都，1921年属潮阳县第九区。[1]村级建制的演变，自近及远是：1999年恢复蔡沟居委会，1986年改居委会，1983年称蔡沟乡，1958年公社化时称蔡沟大队。[1]2026年1月，蔡沟社区被评为广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
经济[edit]
司英公路穿过全境，农业以水稻、甘薯为主，工业有电脑绣花、染织、服装等行业。[1]
