溪美朱村在司马浦镇镇区西面，原名溪尾朱村，面积3.805平方千米，有2401户、14362人。[1]村中居民全姓朱。有一条发源于南山的溪流在此汇入练江，村子位于溪流尾部，故称溪尾朱，后改雅称溪美朱。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，溪美朱创村于宋开禧年间，即1205年至1207年间，明清至民国初年属潮阳县洋乌都，1921年属潮阳县第九区。[1]村级建制的演变，自近及远是：1999年恢复村委会，1986年改村委会，1983年复称溪美朱乡，1958年并入林兜大队，1950年是溪美朱乡。[1]百度百科称它是朱熹后裔聚居地。[3]村被列为革命老区村。[1]

经济[edit]

国道324线穿过全村，农业以水稻、甘薯为主，工业以电器加工、服装为主，有近10家企业、近百家小作坊，其中太格尔电源科技有限公司是电器生产的龙头企业，为省著名商标企业。[1]溪美朱村在2020年至2022年连续入选淘宝村名单。[1]
