长陇社区在司马浦镇镇区西南面，面积0.561平方千米，有325户、2065人。[1]村落排成一条长带，形似长龙，原名“长龙”，后来改雅称“长陇”。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，长陇创村于明万历二十五年（1597年），初名长龙，后改称长陇。明清至民国初年属潮阳县洋乌都，1921年属潮阳县第九区。[1]村级建制的演变，自近及远是：1999年恢复长陇居委会，1986年改居委会，1983年称长陇乡，1958年公社化时称长陇大队。[1]

经济[edit]

农业以水稻、甘薯为主，工业有服装加工、文胸、拉链等行业，社区曾筹资375万元兴建学校、拓建乡道并完善自来水设施。[1]
