司上社区是司马浦镇政府驻地所在的社区，在镇区南部。[1]司马浦原分上、下两处聚落，南边的一处叫司上，社区由此得名。[2]据博雅地名网，社区总面积1.518平方千米，有934户、5695人，辖3个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，村子建于明洪武年间，即1368年至1398年间，明清至民国初年属潮阳县洋乌都，1921年属潮阳县第九区。[1]村级建制的演变，自近及远是：1999年恢复居委会，1986年改称居委会，1983年合并为司上乡，1958年起分为司一、司二两个大队，1950年栅内、莲花、靳厝寨三处同归司马浦上乡。[1]

经济[edit]

社区内有司英路和国道324线通过。农业以水稻、甘薯为主，工业有睡衣、电器、印刷、表带、织布等行业。[1]社区先后出资建设敬老院、幼儿园和小学。[1]
