葛朱社区在汕头市濠江区礐石街道，南临濠江，原与葛陈同属葛园，朱姓聚居，向以盐业和赤砂蚶养殖著称[1]；村名即取朱姓人家较多之意[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

明天顺八年（1464年）朱姓先民迁此定居，成化八年（1472年）陈姓也迁来，合称葛园[1]。1957年葛园拆分为葛园陈和葛园朱；1959年设葛园朱大队；1975年8月，珠浦、三联、茂洲、葛陈、葛朱、葛洲6个大队共85个生产队划归礐石公社[1]。

经济[edit]

村民历来以盐业为主，后将盐田改作养殖塭池，现从事建筑、农业和工副业，养殖是传统的主导产业；辖区面积2082亩、约3000人，有浅海滩涂250亩、塭池590亩，水产有赤砂蚶、江蓠、草虾、青蟹等[1]。2019年9月，社区上榜2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]。
