珠浦社区在汕头市濠江区礐石街道，位于达濠岛中部，古称砂浦，北宋元丰年间（1078—1085年）立乡，是街道内人口最多的社区，有「建筑之乡」之称[1][3]。

历史沿革[edit]

珠浦古称砂浦，宋元丰年间属潮阳县奉恩乡；明洪武十四年（1381年）废乡团改都，设砂浦都，珠浦为都治所在[1]。村名「珠浦」，取聚落沿小丘而建、形似明珠，寓「合浦明珠」之意[2]。1959年设珠浦大队，1975年8月起归礐石公社[1]。

经济[edit]

社区简介载，辖区面积10平方千米，人口20617人，有施工队伍112支，建筑业收入是村民的主要收入[3]。1987年办工业区，引进企业30家，其中广东卫伦生物制药公司是1993年自办的集体企业[3]。据百度百科，社区2022年的集体经济收入为1934.57万元[4]。

名胜古迹[edit]

辖区内的巨峰寺始建于清乾隆年间，珠浦因「巨峰奇石」被省旅游局评为2007年度广东省「旅游特色社区」[3][5]。社区2021年1月入选第七批广东省古村落名单，现存古民居约1200座[1][4]。
