礐石社区是汕头市濠江区礐石街道下辖的社区，位于汕头港南岸，分大礐石、小礐石两个片区，街道的商业和交通集中在这里[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

此处前临大海、背靠山岭，岸边多岩石，海风激浪作响，因而称礐石[2]。十九世纪初这里还是浅海滩涂，到中叶，一位洪姓的英国领事署师爷携家眷在今洪厝街一带居住，之后河浦、珠浦等地村民陆续来此捕鱼耕作，聚居渐多[1]。

1949年的礐石村归汕头市郊区第六区，含大、小礐石两片；1951年属第五区；1956年属礐石街道；1958年设礐石大队，属礐石公社；1966年大队改设为礐石街道[1]。

地理与设施[edit]

大礐石有洪厝街左一、二、三巷，直街、海旁路和医生顶等；小礐石建村较晚、范围较小，俗称「后山顶礐石仔」，2007年因汕头市金山中学扩建，片区居民全部迁出[1]。辖区内有轮渡码头、礐石汽车站、港务码头，以及礐石风景区、金山中学、市卫生学校等省市属单位[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

社区内有英国领事署旧址（海旁路5号，建成于1862年）和基督教礐石堂[1]。
