新江社区是广东省韶关市翁源县新江镇政府所在的社区，城乡分类为镇中心区。[1]社区之名与镇名同源：抗日战争时期因修公路，在新塘铺与江镇铺之间设了一处圩场，各取两铺名的首字，称新江圩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

这里1949年至1957年为新江乡，1958年至1983年为新江大队，1983年恢复称乡，1986年起设居委会；1993年改称新江管理区，1998年定名新江居委会，沿用至今。[1]
