此地解放前叫白石下，1961年3月起为五社大队，属樟市公社。[1]

地名由来[edit]

抗日战争时期，村中设过红军联络点，因而取名五星。[1]

经济[edit]

耕地方面，水田1600多亩，旱地700多亩；作物以优质谷、柑橙为主（博雅地名网）。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年4月出炉的省乡村治理示范村创建名单（2022年度）中有五星村。[1]
