平岗村是广州市从化区温泉镇下辖的行政村。据博雅地名网所载，村域面积约6.8平方千米，设18个经济社，村民3150多人（未注明年份），村委会离温泉镇政府约8千米。村子在前往石门国家森林公园的路上，离公园约10千米，是“一村一品”大红桂味荔枝专业生产村。[1]

因驻地在平岗村而得名。[1]

1958年设立平岗大队。1983年12月改设为平岗乡。1987年1月更名为平岗村民委员会，此后一直如此。[1]
