南平村是广州市从化区温泉镇下辖的行政村。据博雅地名网所载，村域面积约3平方千米，设12个经济社，村民1040多人（未注明年份），村委会离温泉镇政府约19千米。是镇内位置较偏远的村，对外只有一条公路出入。村内有南平静修小镇项目，位于从化与增城交界处，被凤凰山系环绕。[1]

村民以种植荔枝、蔬果为主，农产品有荔枝、红柿、青梅和黄皮。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
此地原是多石丘陵，靠农户出力平整，故名南平。[1]
1958年设立南平大队。1983年并入新南，改设为新南乡。1987年1月分开后更名为南平村民委员会，此后一直如此。[1]
