卫东村是广州市从化区温泉镇下辖的行政村。据博雅地名网所载，村域面积约8平方千米，设17个经济社，村民2270多人（未注明年份），村委会离温泉镇政府约6千米。村子在105国道旁，毗邻乌土村内的中山大学南方学院。[1]

因驻地在卫东而得名。[1]
1958年设立大队，以驻地卫东为名。其后“文化大革命”期间称卫东大队。1983年12月改设为卫东乡。1987年1月更名为卫东村民委员会，此后一直如此。[1]
