西和村是广州市从化区城郊街道北部的行政村，距从化市中心约9公里，东邻光联村，南接红旗村，西与光辉村相邻，北毗城康村。[1]村内有客家文化的印记，是广东省农业公园「万花园」的核心区。[2]

西和村近年凭花卉和乡村旅游出名：荣誉有：「第三批全国乡村旅游重点村」（2021年8月）、「第二批全国乡村治理示范村」（2021年9月）、「第九批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」（2023年1月，由司法部、民政部命名）。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代后期，此地叫西山。公社化的1958年建西和大队，隶城郊公社；次年改归横江农场；1968年易名东风大队，1977年复旧；1981年为避重名，经批准正式称西和大队。1983年12月，西和与横江合为上联乡，1987年两地分开，西和设村民委员会。[1]

经济与旅游[edit]

村域面积在官方简介中记为8平方千米，博雅地名网记约5平方千米，下辖6个经济社。[2][1]传统上以荔枝、稻谷为主，2015年末从化区提出「美丽小镇」战略后，西和村被规划为「万花风情小镇」，引入企业经营，形成以小盆栽、兰花、多肉植物和苗木为主的花卉种植，以及以樱花、玫瑰、火龙果为主题的休闲观光农业。[2]

到2017年底，村内已有宝趣玫瑰世界、天适樱花悠乐园、大丘园和正欣园艺等景点，村子因此获评「广州市美丽乡村」「广州市乡村旅游示范点」和「广东省旅游名村」。[2]

荣誉[edit]

此外，西和村在2021年12月入选「2021年广州粤菜师傅名村」，2023年5月获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号，2023年11月进入广东「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村，2024年4月列入广东省乡村振兴示范村的第一批创建名单。[1]
