南沙街道在广州市南沙区的东南部，街道办事处设在进港大道。东北方向以小虎沥、虎门水道为界，对岸有黄阁镇的小虎村和大虎岛；南面隔蕉门水道与横沥镇相对；境内以低丘台地和冲积平原为主。[1][2]

辖区面积44.97平方千米，2020年第七次人口普查时常住人口为237089人。[2] 街道得名于黄山鲁及周围的沙洲，清代这一带称“南沙山”“南沙村”。[1] 境内有南沙天后宫、黄山鲁森林公园，以及上横档炮台、蒲洲炮台等虎门炮台的遗址。[1][3][4][5][6]

历史沿革[edit]

明代到民国，这里归东莞县管辖；新中国成立初期先后划给珠海县、中山县，1959年起属番禺县。[1] 此后1961年成立南沙人民公社，1987年设南沙镇。[1][2]

1993年5月南沙经济技术开发区成立，镇的建制当年7月撤销，改设番禺市的街道办事处。[1] 南沙区成立后的2006年3月，办事处改称南沙区南沙街道办事处。[1][2]

行政区划[edit]

2023年12月28日，南沙街道按区里关于黄阁镇、南沙街道行政区划变更的通知重新组建，并为新划入的村和社区举行了揭牌仪式。博雅地名网记载新组建的街道面积为44.97平方千米，下辖金洲、板头、沙螺湾、坦头、广隆、大涌、东瓜宇、东湾、蕉门、亭角、坦尾11个村，以及蕉门河、蝴蝶洲、海庭、逸涛等社区。[1] 2024年6月，创享湾、飞沙角、丽景三个社区成立。[1]

原街道东部的南沙社区、南北台、红岭、蒲州、海湾等社区，以及大岭界至南横的8个村，在博雅地名网上已列入新成立的港湾街道。[1] 两个来源对街道所辖数目的说法不同：百度百科写截至2024年为9个社区、11个行政村，博雅地名网的街道页首栏写11个社区、12个行政村。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

南沙天后宫在大角山东南麓，前身是明代建在鹿颈村的天妃古庙，清乾隆年间重修后称元君古庙，抗日战争时期被日机炸毁，1994年重建；景区占地约18万平方米，2015年评为国家4A级旅游景区。[3]

黄山鲁森林公园因有黄山、鲁山两座主峰而得名，由南沙区人民政府在2007年4月批复建立，总面积1328公顷，最高处海拔295米。[4]

上横档炮台在虎门水道的上横档岛上，始建于清康熙五十六年（1717年），遗存有横档台、东台、永安台、西台、阅兵场和交通壕，属全国重点文物保护单位。[5] 蒲洲炮台在鹿颈村蒲洲山，始建于清光绪十一年（1885年），现存三个炮池，1982年随虎门炮台列入第二批全国重点文物保护单位，2023年入选《广州市地名保护名录（第一批）》。[6] 南北台社区一带有巩固炮台遗址，与上横档岛上的炮台共同扼守虎门西水道。[1]
