坦头村在广州市南沙区南沙街道东北面，由坦头、马鞍、槽船3个自然村组成，村域约2平方千米。村子位于一条沙坦的起头一段，因此得名。[1]
历史与人口[edit]
清光绪年间，四乡的人围垦浅滩成为耕地，形成村落，起初是渔民聚居点，渔民占全村人口的三四成。1965年编为坦头大队，1987年成立村民委员会，2005年后属南沙街道。[1]
村页（未注年份）写着593户、1319人，樊、陈、郭、黄、梁、马为主要姓氏。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2026年1月，坦头村获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」；2024年11月被认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]
