石南村位于炭步镇区东面，面积约1.89平方千米，下辖8个村民小组，港口大道和宝珠路是主要道路。[1]村名由原石湖的部分村与南涌合组村委会时各取一字而成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1987年1月石南村委会成立，隶属炭步区公所，3月转隶炭步镇人民政府。[1]

文化[edit]

搜狐号文章把石南、石湖、红峰称为「大石湖三村」，以汤氏家庙为中心，正月十六有游社灯的习俗。[2]

经济[edit]

村内工业有玻璃制造、塑料加工、五金加工等。2019年9月，石南村在2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单中；2023年5月获2022年广东省卫生村称号。[1]
