柏堂村在番禺区化龙镇，占地4.1平方千米，由东溪、柏堂、大街、地围等旧乡合并而来。村名出自一则宋代贞节故事。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

相传南宋建炎年间，刘昶携家来此定居，生有六子；后刘昶带走两个儿子远行，妻子留下抚养另外四子，终身守节。乡人敬重其贞节，以「柏堂」命名村子。[1]上世纪50年代，东溪、柏堂、大街、地围四个高级社合并，成为柏堂乡，后称柏堂大队；村民委员会于1987年成立。[1]

经济[edit]

博雅地名网所载村情称，村里有常住居民2853人、外来人员1800人，2009年人均收入10850元。村从2005年起参加「双百共建文明村」活动，此后几年为整治村容村貌花去600多万元。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

刘仲达、刘廷光家族墓在村内四房岗，属清代古墓葬，由三座连体、呈「品」字形的墓组成。[1]

荣誉[edit]

柏堂村名列2022年度广东省乡村治理示范村创建单位；在2024年11月的广州市充分就业社区（村）认定中入选。[1]
