谢村是广州市番禺区钟村街道辖下的行政村，在旧105国道旁，下辖18个村民小组，面积约5平方公里，户籍人口5477人，在钟村街的行政村中人口较多、面积较广[1]。村委会设在谢石公路2号[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

谢村相传在南宋时期开村。1882年版《番禺县志》载：相传南汉王刘鋹为妃子杨氏建桥，桥名「谢恩」，村名由此而来；村里杨姓是大姓，谢姓人却不多[3]。另一种说法是，南宋皇帝下旨在此建桥，村人因而称之为谢恩桥，村名谢恩乡，后简称谢村[1]。今日村里仍存刻有「谢恩桥」三字的石碑[3]。1987年成立谢村村民委员会[1]。

经济[edit]

村里自办综合市场，经营禽畜果蔬批发；工业收入以出租厂房和土地为主，农业以种植树木、花卉为主[1]。2021年和2022年的淘宝村名单中，谢村村均榜上有名[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

据新快报报道，村内保存有祠堂21座[3]。襟湖李公祠始建于明末清初，坐北朝南，前有地坪和池塘，2005年公布为广州市登记保护文物单位，此前1934年、2002年各修缮过一次[3]。方帅庙供奉传说中为保护村民而饮毒水的豆制品作坊老板，每年农历八月十三为方帅诞[3]。钟兴路旁的谢村牌坊也是村中遗存[3]。2023年，《番禺区钟村街谢村传统村落保护发展规划（2021-2035）》公开征求意见，传统村落范围27.93公顷，规划提出保护「井字型」的村落格局、玉带泉、古井和古树等[2]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，谢村村进入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]。
