竹墩村是广东省湛江市廉江市营仔镇下辖的行政村，辖竹墩等11条自然村，是南美白对虾的省级专业村[1]。
地名与沿革[edit]
村建在一处坡墩上，墩上原来长着许多竹子，故名竹墩[1]。1940年这里成为游击区，当地办的肇基小学以罗氏祖先罗肇基命名，党支部也以竹墩村为中心；1947年建立竹墩游击乡政府，辖竹墩、白沙、营仔三处，合为一乡[1]。合作化时期，1955年办初级社，次年升为高级社，1958年成了大队；1982年起设乡，1987年为村委会，1989年称管理区，1999年又定名竹墩村委会[1]。
人口与产业[edit]
村辖谢村、李村、长坡、汝仔头、罗村、三口塘、三竹坡、新屋、南山条、后塘、竹墩11条自然村，585户2910人（未注年份）[1]。竹墩村的南美白对虾，在2020年8月公布的首批「广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村」中有名；2019年9月又被列为「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」2018年创建单位[1]。
