历史沿革[edit]
南宋时期，这里称钟村；所在的青树岗低丘四周有竹木护界，钟姓人较多，旧称钟山堡。人民公社化时，原钟村分为四个大队，这里是第二大队，到20世纪70年代改设革命委员会，设行政村后叫钟村二村；1987年成立钟村二村民委员会[1]。
人口与经济[edit]
村里有在册户籍665户，在册村民2392人，外来人口约9500人。集体经济以发展工业为主，同时发包农业用地，2009年集体收入1094万元；工业有机械器材制造、食品加工、制衣和制鞋等门类，农业以鱼塘养殖和花卉种植为主[1]。
荣誉[edit]
钟二村在2021年和2022年的淘宝村名单中均榜上有名；2024年11月获评「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」[1]。
