龙溪村是旧县镇下辖的行政村，位于旧县河东畔，西面临旧县河与旧县大桥，旧白公路穿过村中。[1]

村名由龙头岗与小溪口两个自然村的名字各取一字组成。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

土地革命时期村子属旧县区苏维埃政权的一个乡苏，民国时为所在乡的龙溪保。[2]

解放后村子一度称龙全乡，1953年改称旧县区龙溪乡，1956年设高级社。1958年公社化后属旧县公社，1961年称龙溪大队，1966年改为红岩公社龙溪大队，1984年改为旧县乡龙溪村民委员会，2012年改称旧县镇龙溪村民委员会。[2]

地理环境[edit]

村东群山环绕，山间有太子骑龙、仙人献掌、穿石龙、燕子岩等地名。[1]

据地质勘探资料，村子所在地带有金、银、铜等矿产。[1]

人口民族[edit]

村中陈姓人口占90%以上。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

龙头岗上有一株百年古榕树，直径5米，据博雅地名网，此树列为省级保护，树旁建有凉亭与镇佑宫。[1]

村中现存明清古民房数座。怡怡堂位于龙头岗，惠迪堂位于小溪口，师俭堂也属此类，均为三栋两排的大堂。[1]

小溪口曾是繁荣地段，码头上商人云集，旧县市场在此设立达百余年。[1]
