新丰村位于临城镇西南部，与湖洋乡相接，地理位置偏僻，自然资源较少。据博雅地名网，村名因粮食年年丰收而来。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

村民代表21人，村中有5个自然村、5个村民小组。全村的户数为110户，人口476人。耕地316亩，山林2764亩（其中林地1943亩）。[1]

村民收入以水稻、玉米等农作物为主，外出务工的劳务收入是重要的收入来源。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时属信合区新山保；解放初设新山分会，归附城区。1952年设互助组，1955年建初级社，1956年建高级社，1957年冬撤区并乡后归城郊乡。[2]

1958年公社化后隶城郊公社，1972年单设新丰大队，仍属城郊公社；1980年起由管委会管理。1984年起为城郊乡下属村，1986年改属临城乡，1993年称临城镇新丰村民委员会。[2]

文化[edit]

2023年1月，新丰村获「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」称号。[1]
