龙田村位于濯田镇西部，距集镇约15公里，村落坐落在海拔约800米的山间盆地中，四周群山环绕。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村庄原名龙归磜，因地势高而形成高磜。村中林氏祖祠的地形如虎，每年正月闹龙灯，于是有了「龙归磜、虎归山」的说法；后因村里田地较多，改称龙田。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年6月，设立龙田乡。1958年5月，龙田乡并入濯田镇。此后龙田与横岗几经分合，1984年撤社建乡，龙田大队改称龙田村。[2]
