山塘村是福建省龙岩市新罗区江山镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域南端，是进入江山镇的南部门户。全村辖山厚、大塘两个自然村，境内有省级文物保护单位山塘兵工厂旧址。[1][4]

地理环境[edit]

山塘村位于新罗区西北部，处在梅花山南麓，龙岩国家森林公园境内，距龙岩市区约13公里。东面与铜砵村相接，南邻龙门镇，西与小池镇接壤，北面延伸到岩顶山和古田镇一带。[1]

据博雅地名网，全村总面积21.4平方公里，平均海拔约600米，森林覆盖率为88.76%，村中有毛竹林和生态公益林。全村设7个村民小组，共265户743人（数字未注年份）。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1929年至1931年间，山塘与铜砵、村美等地同属江山区苏维埃政府的辖区。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

山塘兵工厂旧址位于睡美人山脚下。这处旧址的建筑始建于清嘉庆十六年（1811年），原是廖氏家族的祠堂，名为务本堂。建筑为单厅两边房带两护厝的平房，占地330平方米。[2]

1927年9月，郭滴人等人领导山塘乡农民协会在此开办乡兵工厂，靠群众献出的铁料和木炭制造土炮、漏底枪等武器。1930年8月，闽西特委作出决定，在龙岩湖洋组建闽西红军兵工厂，山塘的设备与人员转往湖洋，编入该厂。[2][4]

2018年，这处旧址被认定为第九批省级文物保护单位。[4]

村内的“睡美人”风景名胜区境内有宗教朝圣的古庙和古寺，山林环抱，溪流穿行，是一处集游览与休闲于一体的景区。[1]
