山塘村属福建省漳州市龙海区浮宫镇，地处九龙江南溪下游，背山临海。村内有两个自然村，设7个村民小组，共413户、1577人。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期这里归海澄县第二区浮宫镇大墩保，山头一带则属港前保。新中国成立后，山头并入港头（即今港前村），山塘并入林墩。其后两村一度同属溪山乡，1958年才与溪山分开，单设山塘大队。1988年以后名为浮宫镇山塘村，1993年成立村委会，此后未再变动。[1]

地名由来[edit]

博雅地名网载，此村旧名沙堤。村背山面海，山下积沙，形状似一道长堤，故得此名。[1]
