东华社区位于东关镇集镇中心，是镇区所在的社区。社区名取「东」「华」二字，前身是1958年设立的东关管理区，隶属北硿华侨茶果场；1998年改制建镇后改设居民委员会，2003年改称社区居民委员会。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

该地于1958年4月30日设立东关管理区，归属国营永春北硿华侨茶果场。[1][2]

1960年前后，这里又安置了一批印尼归国华侨。[1][2]

这里在1998年9月改制建镇后先设东华居委会；2003年11月6日，这里的居委会改称东华社区居委会。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

社区地处东关镇集镇中心，辖有6个居民小组。[1]

经济[edit]

社区原以茶园和柑橘园为主。芦柑黄龙病流行后，种植业没有大的发展，居民的收入主要来自外出务工和经商，产业逐步转向其他行业。[1]
