新塘村是福建省泉州市惠安县山霞镇西部山区的行政村，属革命老区村[2][3]。村域面积据百度百科为2平方千米，博雅地名网则记为近1平方千米[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

此地山路崎岖，沟壑纵横，旧时有「七沟八塘」之称。后有陈姓村民迁来，治理山地沟壑，地貌随之改观，村名由此而来[2][3]。

建国初期，此地是惠安县崇武区四区新田乡的一部分。1961年，以新田大队的一部分另立新塘大队，归崇武公社管辖。1974年起，它成为山霞公社下的新塘大队；1984年划归山霞乡人民政府，设村委会；1992年，村子归山霞镇管辖[2][3]。

文化[edit]

村庄获得的荣誉有：2006年，被定为惠安县新农村建设示范村[1]；2021年11月，福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2022年10月，经福建省农业农村厅认定，入选「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2024年3月，获评惠安县「2023年度平安村（社区）」[2]。
